– How did your career begin (and when)?
My career started when I was 16 years old. I began as both a DJ and a songwriter. At that age I was already obsessed with understanding how music worked—not just playing records, but studying structure, lyrics, energy, and crowd reaction. DJing gave me an immediate connection to people. Songwriting gave me the ability to create and express my own ideas. Starting that young taught me discipline early. I wasn’t just pressing play; I was learning timing, transitions, reading rooms, and what makes people move. At the same time, writing music helped me understand storytelling, rhythmic patterns, and how emotion translates into sound. Those two foundations, DJing and songwriting, are still the core of who I am today as King0fKings.
– Which is your first track ever released and from which label?
My first released track is “I Love My Money.” I’m not currently signed to any record label.
– With which labels and artists have you worked on?
I haven’t worked with any labels or artists on this release.
– Which was your latest release?
My latest release is “I Love My Money.” It’s a high-energy Bass House record that represents where I am creatively right now. With heavy low end, punchy drums, and a hook that sticks with you, it’s designed to hit hard in clubs and festivals. “I Love My Money” is about mindset as much as it is about sound. It reflects ambition, independence, and knowing your value. Sonically, it leans into the driving bass groove I’m known for while still staying fun and infectious.
– What can we expect from you in the future?
In the near future you can expect a new body of work from me: my upcoming EP titled Bass Carnival. Bass Carnival is exactly what it sounds like—high energy, rhythmic, and built for the dance floor. I’m blending Bass House grooves with infectious carnival-style percussion and heavy drops that hit on big systems. It still has my signature bounce and groove, but I’m pushing the energy up and making it more explosive. Right now I’ve got two more records to finish before the project is complete. I’m taking my time because I want the EP to feel cohesive—not just a collection of tracks, but a full experience from start to finish. Every drop, every build, and every transition matters. Going forward, expect more original releases, more live sets, and more moments where I test my music directly with the crowd before it officially drops. I’m focused on leveling up production, expanding the sound, and building something that represents who I am as King0fKings: energy, rhythm, and presence. Bass Carnival is just the beginning of the next chapter.
– What drew you to the music industry?
What drew me to the music industry was simple: my love for music. It wasn’t about fame or attention in the beginning; it was the feeling music gave me—the way a beat could change your mood, the way a crowd reacts when the right record drops, the emotion behind lyrics, and the energy of sound systems. I was hooked early. Music felt powerful to me; it felt like control and freedom at the same time. As a DJ, I loved being able to move a room. As a songwriter and producer, I loved creating something from nothing and watching it connect with people. That love is still the foundation of everything I do. Trends come and go, but passion doesn’t. My love for music is what started this journey and what keeps me pushing forward.
– Who are you inspired by?
I’m not inspired by one specific person—I’m inspired by styles and movements. What really shaped me is the sound of New York house: that raw, soulful, club-driven energy that came out of the city. The same goes for Chicago house—the original foundation of groove, drum machines, and underground culture. Those sounds laid the blueprint. I’m also heavily inspired by soulful house because of the emotion and vocals, Trap House for the bounce and modern edge, and Bass House for the energy and impact. It’s really about the feeling each style brings. I take pieces from all of them—the groove, the soul, the grit, the aggression—and blend them into the King0fKings sound.
– Which DAW do you use to produce music?
I use FL Studio.
– Do you play any instruments?
No.
– Have you been in competitions?
No.
– If you perform in public as a DJ: how does what you play affect your style of DJing, and what is your general process for finding music?
Yes, I perform publicly as a DJ, and what I play definitely affects how I DJ in the moment. For me, the genre and the energy of a record control everything. If I’m playing Deep House or Soulful House, I’m more patient: I let the records breathe, focus on long blends, layer vocals, ride the groove, and build emotion. When I’m in my Bass House bag, it’s more aggressive—tighter transitions, quicker cuts, heavier drops, and more impact. Afro House sets are all about rhythm and movement; that percussion drives how I mix and how I build tension. I don’t DJ on autopilot. I read the room first. I might come in with a direction, but I’m always watching the crowd—how they move, how they react, when they need more energy, or when they need to vibe out. My goal is to take people on a journey, not just play hot tracks back-to-back.
As far as finding music, I’m constantly digging—every week: DJ pools, underground platforms, label drops, and independent producers. I pay attention to what’s breaking in different scenes, especially in the Deep, Afro, and Bass House spaces. I also test my own productions in my sets to see how they hit on a system. The dance floor tells the truth. At the end of the day, my process is simple: dig deep, stay authentic, and let the crowd and the music guide the experience.
– On a personal level, what music do you listen to in your free time? Do you have other activities besides music?
On a personal level, I listen to a lot more than just House. Of course I’m always tapped into Deep House, Afro House, and Soulful House because that’s my world, but in my free time I’ll throw on R&B, hip-hop, old-school classics, and even jazz. I grew up on artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Mase, Cam’ron, 50 Cent, and Stack Bundles, and I still go back to that era for inspiration. That gritty New York energy—the storytelling and charisma—sticks with me. I’m also big on soulful voices like Sade; that timeless energy influences how I build emotion in my sets. Even when I’m not listening to House, I’m studying songwriting, structure, and feeling.
Outside of music, I’m into fitness and self-development. Staying in shape keeps my mind sharp and my energy high, especially with late nights and performances. I’m also focused on business—branding, strategy, and building something that lasts. Music is the passion, but ownership and growth are just as important to me. Everything I do feeds back into the music. Whether I’m working out, studying business, or vibing to classics, it all inspires the King0fKings sound.
